The Road Map Leading Somaliland to Annex SSC Territories.

Looking for directions?

Here is the road map leading Somaliland to annex SSC territories.

A shrewd academic panel  -  a manipulative six-guys guru marred with political and monitorial greed  inebriated with the notion that social and political transition in Sool,Sanaag and (C)ayn society(here after SSC society) must come from a top-down approach and be directed by hand-picked Diaspora members rather than grass-roots democratization and social mobilization -  has herded a number of” mostly” illiterate Diaspora individuals and convened them in London, at the request of UK (Ukaid, the Department for International Development(DFID)) and Somaliland but not the merit of the oppressed greater SSC society, to set the foundations for annexing Sool, Sanaag and Ayn territories to Somaliland once and for all. Namely these six-guy guru are:

1.      Dr. Ali Khalif Galery
2.      Dr. Ali Ise Abdi
3.      Jama Abshir Hasan
4.      Mohamed Burale Farah
5.      Mohamed Saeed Omar
6.      Suleman Abdi Duale

One of the most sickening elements as an outcome of that panel’s convention has been fire branding 27 individuals out of that Diaspora herd, again the most incompetent puppets that could ever be assembled for plotting SSC affairs, to mark them as the supreme coordinating committee of the SSC annexation with predetermined duties included but not limited to pave the path for a greater convention being planned to take place soon at back home, presumably aimed to mislead the locals and ratify their mere behind-the-scene top-down annexation process.

This notion ignores the role of SSC civil society and its traditional chieftains, not to mention their intellect – which is essential to any process of sustained liberty and democratization at their territories. While change at the community level – whether revolutionary or gradual – is urgently required given the current situations of SSC society, sustained liberty and democratic transition can only be achieved if accompanied by genuine local participation approved jointly by its local intellectuals and traditional leaders backed by their current administration, Puntland.

This guru group which has been on the sideline during the past twenty years in which SSC has been in dire crisis, all of a sudden showed up as the saviors of SSC while in fact they are a Trojan Horse for Silanyo regime.  One must not be fooled by their crocodile tears; the shepherd always tries to persuade the sheep that their interests and his own are the same. Below is the naked truth shedding light on a closer look of their plotsexerting significant pressurein the progress of SSC society, if any, regards to issues of unity and liberation.

Trisha Bebbington, Somalia Deputy Programme Manager DFID Kenya & Somalia, said in a respond letter to one of those so called scholars as a guideline to the conceptual framework of their plot:

“Thank you for your email of 2 March attaching a letter to Andrew Mitchell, Secretary of State for International Development about the Sool, Sanaag and Cayn regions of northern Somalia (SSC). I have been asked to reply. I read with interest your comments on the situation in the SSC region. The UK government is concerned about the clashes. The persecution of minority groups and clans is unacceptable. We raised our concerns about reports on the situation facing minorities in the Somali regions with President Silanyo during his visit to the UK in November.”

The eye-brow raising questions are: who is the“minority groups and clans” to whom? When did Dhulbahante become minority group to anyone? Who appointed and mandated those so-called SSC Diaspora scholars to plead UK for the mercy of Dhulbahante clan while portraying as a minority under persecution of their own regime, the secessionist Isaac? How dare are they to meddle SSC affairs and demand renegotiations with such malevolent and despotic regime of Silanyo?

The letter continues saying:

“The UK is funding a conflict management and peace building programme in the Sool and Sanaag regions which will work with the local communities and Peace Committees to enable them to handle all aspects of local conflict management and peace-building, bridging the gap between traditional and modern approaches of conflict management.”

Where did that fund go? Who pocketed it? What “traditional approach” Dhulbahante has to abandon and what “modern approach” should replace it that the UK and those so called SSC Guru mentioning in their correspondence? When did the Diaspora NSUM and HBM become the “local communities that ought to be deal with to handle all aspects of local conflict management and peace-building?” And when did Dhulbahante appoint those six guru thugs and their affiliates as “Peace Committees?” Whose traffic and from where is intended to use such the “bridging the gap” to Hargeisa that UK sponsoring and so called SSC scholars are constructing?

N.B. Taleex Media will soon publicly post the complete letter.

Furthermore, the letter continues to say:

“My colleagues in DFID and in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London would be keen to hear more views from a UK based group of SSC people as we recognise the huge contribution that the diaspora and other small organisations are making to development in Somaliland. We have received a number of other similar letters. I have passed your contact details to my colleagues in the UK who will be in touch over the next few weeks to arrange a meeting…. UKaid will help to achieve results in improving governance and promoting peace building at local and national levels. It will also help create long-term jobs for 22,500 in Somaliland…. On the whole we are pleased with progress in Somaliland.”

Whoa! Whoa! So called Six-guys guru hold your horses! This is where you get off the wagon!  As clearly stated in the above excerpt, one must not look any further proof to know who these six- guys guru really working for or working with.  While engaging directly with third-party states and international organisations, in effect to sell SSC society bypassing the civil society’s and chieftains’ plebiscite of whose constituency they ought to be, they shedding us crocodile tears! In the context of any pre-existing deals between these six-guys guru, UK and Somaliland, such conspiracy would suit the divide and rule strategy towards SSC society.

On the other hand, after much back-room discussions and brinkmanship, the prospects of the Puntland producing significant counter-act to retrieve its occupied territories currently seem quite limited. The Puntland administration failed to reassure its SSC constituency that it would liberate the occupied territories from Somaliland. Although these concerns are well-founded among SSC community, the NSUM and HBM do not appear to have a realistic ‘plan B’ – and Diaspora-level politics for SSC is once again dead-locked, with the Puntland administration holding most of the key cards. Hence demand cries for Puntland to not miss this wakeup call to take some bold steps to fulfill its constitutional obligation of to serve and protect impartially its territorial and constituential integrity.

These so called six-guys guru, a wolf in sheep’s clothing hopscotching five-star hotels at London, Nairobi, Addis Ababa and Hargeisa to satiate their political and monitorial greed at the cost of the suffering SSC society, certainly are add-on menace to SSC society which the burdensome task of liberating their territories yet awaits. And the message to this coalition of six-guys guru, Somaliland and UK is simple and clear: your barbaric act of to rub salt on 20th century wounds in this 21st century era cannot be sold to SSC society!

If freedom of media means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear. And if we don’t have this freedom of the press, then all these little fellows are weaseling around and doing their monkey business and they never get caught.
